When I was growing up there was always an “art cart” full of stickers, markers, crayons, paper, and all sorts of ephemera for my creative little heart to play with. I made art, wrote books, and created set designs and costumes for plays put on by my stuffed animals. World-building and extensive, messy creative projects have always been a part of who I am. Today I illustrate mostly with digital media, but the sense of playfulness and wonder remains for me. And my family will tell you that I still manage to take up the whole table with my projects!
You’ll find me most days at home in Durham, North Carolina, taking care of my daughter and our beagle named Beagle. I read constantly, knit, sew, and listen to podcasts.
For the past two years I’ve been creating custom family and pet portraits, and now I am expanding my repertoire to commercial illustration. I’d love to hear from you! Drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
